Result: 23rd Nov - Minchenden 0 - Chase Side 2

Despite the weather and the final score an excellent game of football.

We started strongly straight from kick-off with plenty of good football in their half. We were also particulatly strong defensively with all players doing their bit. We had a couple of lucky breaks when a Chase Side attempt got mis-kicked, hit the post or went wide and I was starting to think it might be our match. I think we had the better of the first half, holding them to nil-nil.

The second half they came on a bit stronger and maybe we started to tire a little. We still had our chances but failed to capitalise on them; they had theirs, and unfortunately did. The first goal being a goal mouth scramble where we just failed to clear the ball; the second, again from close play around our goal - everyone was tending to follow or chase the ball rather than looking around, keeping spread out and in position, and making sure all their players are marked.

Anyway, a good game from us and nobody should be disappointed in the performance of the team ... play like that in future and we will get back to winning ways.

Man of the match was Oliver, his first match for the team. An excellent performance at the back; good tackling, good strong clearances -- keep it up.

Result: 9th Nov - Boundary Pk 4 - 3 Minchenden

I was delighted with the performance and effort put in today, especially after such a battering last week. Boundary Park are a strong team but we matched them when competing for the ball. Fantastic performance again by Ben and our man of the match - Liam.

If we can score 3 goals we should not really be losing the games. We need a little more concentration at the back and the whole team need to continue to get behind the ball when we lose possession and don't let the opposition have any time on the ball. Our aim this season is to reduce the number of goals conceded. We have a tough game at home to Brimsdown next week and after today, i'm convinced we can win if we put in the same effort but concentrate a little more on keeping a clean sheet.
